Quality Engineer, Nefab Packaging Netherlands

Nefab Group is on a growth journey, and we are dependent on high-performance people to succeed. We are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Nefab Packaging Netherlands.

As Quality Engineer you are the first point of contact for quality topics across the packaging supply chain, internally (Operations, Engineering, Planning and Sales) and externally (customers and suppliers). You ensure that packaging products consistently meet specifications and standards, and you turn issues into improvements.

You will contribute to:

  • Be on-site on the shop floor and in the warehouse to solve quality issues where they arise (hands-on troubleshooting).
  • Support customers and internal stakeholders with non-conformities, claims and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA, 8D).
  • Coordinate with the Quality Inspection team to verify products against customer specifications; guide day-to-day inspection priorities.
  • Run packaging quality analyses and product evaluations; use data to identify trends (e.g., Pareto) and risk (FMEA).
  • Lead root-cause investigations (5 Whys, Ishikawa) and translate findings into robust actions with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects, waste and rework (Lean/5S mindset).
  • Maintain compliant documentation and accurate quality records; support internal audits and procedure optimization.
  • Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 programs and related H&S practices in collaboration with QHSE.

Do you want to be part of a global organization and contribute to our growth journey? Apply to the position as Quality Engineer today!

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar technical field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, logistics or a related environment (or strong motivation to learn fast).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
  • Solid MS Office skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience with problem-solving and quality tools: 8D/CAPA, FMEA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, risk analysis, trend analysis (Pareto).
  • Comfortable presenting issues and proposals to stakeholders at management level.
  • Primary location is Son and/or Voorthuizen (depending on business needs). You will regularly be present on the work floor and may travel to our other Benelux sites when required.
